The Importance of Lighting Energy Saving in Stadium Lighting

Lighting energy saving focuses on the use of reasonable lighting solutions and efficient lighting devices to reduce the line good lighting control . Sports construction is a large-scale lighting project. From the perspective of energy saving, only the initial investment cost is compared.
The lighting design that is not selected based on the minimum operating cost is not a reasonable design. It should be based on specific conditions. Investment and operating costs are considered together. High-efficiency light sources and luminaires should be selected.

Accessories such as ballasts with low energy consumption should be used, and compensation capacitors should be added to increase the power factor of the system. Lighting design should have multiple sports lighting poles and led stadium lighting modes and corresponding control schemes. By adjusting the number of luminaires to provide suitable lighting for different needs of competitions and activities, the control scheme should be simple, practical and flexible.
When designing, consider the reduction in light output due to dust or light source attenuation over the life of the fixture. The attenuation of the light source depends on the environmental conditions at the installation site and the type of light source chosen. Therefore, the initial illuminance of the new luminaire is 1.2 to 1.5 times the recommended value in the table. The degree of glare produced by a luminaire depends on the density of the luminaire, the projected direction, the number, the position viewed in the arena, and the ambient brightness. In fact, the number of fixtures is related to the number of auditoriums in the stadium. Relatively speaking, the training field only needs to install simple lamps; but large stadiums need to install more lamps to control the light beam to achieve high illumination and low glare.
